Wills and Trusts to Meet your Family's Exact Needs

Oregon Estate Planning Lawyers - Portland Westside - Washington County

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all estate preservation plan. Every will and every trust must be drafted to meet your family's specific needs.

At Nachtigal, Eisenstein & Associates, we offer estate planning services that are designed to meet the unique goals of each client. We help clients who range in life stages from young adults just starting out to senior citizens wanting to put their assets into a trust for their grandchildren. We have helped people from all walks of life and all income levels.

Whether you are starting with just a few dollars in the bank or have significant financial assets to protect, a will or trust is often the best way to protect your family's interests.

We use a number of estate planning tools to meet your goals, including:

Wills

A will is the document you create to direct the final distribution of your assets when you die. For couples with minor children, a will also designates a guardian to take care of your children if you and your spouse should both die before your children are adults.

Living Trust

A living trust can be used to avoid, minimize or eliminate estate probate costs for anyone.

Advanced health directive

An advanced health directive (called a living will in some states) informs hospitals, doctors and other care providers whether you want artificial, life-prolonging techniques (such as feeding tubes) if you are in a terminal condition without hope of recovery. Your advanced health directive also designates a trusted person to make health care decisions for you if you are no longer able to communicate those decisions for yourself.

Durable power of attorney

A durable power of attorney allows you to give a trusted person the ability to pay your bills and handle your financial affairs if you are incapacitated.

We will also help you revise and update your estate plan if your needs change as a result of starting a business, buying property, and getting a divorce. We will use our expertise to help you protect your assets.

Pre-paid legal plans

Our estate planning services may be covered as part of your pre-paid legal plan benefits at work. We are referral attorneys for Hyatt Legal Plans, Prepaid Legal Services and CLC Incorporated (formerly Consolidated Legal).
